How We Serve

Science is not just for scientists. Participation in the process of science, and understanding how knowledge is created from research activity should be available to everyone. We believe in the democratization of science, public access, and public engagement. This is only possible with effective science communication, combined with creative solutions for public engagement.

Our content strategists are passionate about making your project accessible, engaging, and visually appealing. We combine expertise in research science with a knowledge of digital technology, art, user experience, and the changing landscape of education.

Principal - Ilona Miko, PhD

Trained as a systems neuroscientist and artist, Ilona spent seven years in publishing, leading content and design for large-scale digital science learning portals at Nature Publishing Group. As managing editor of Nature Education, she developed science-based media and oversaw the open publication, Nature Education. She also worked on large institutional partnerships with UNESCO and Hoffman LaRoche. Through this work, Ilona optimized science content in both publications and digital interactive scenarios, serving a global audience. Her most recent project was The World Library of Science. Along the way, she formed a network of like-minded science professionals who have now joined her endeavor to create MikoArtScience, a consulting business supporting science communication and digital science product development.
